Yesterday, VW Shanghai disclosed that, one year after the agreement with Germany VW and SKODA to produce the SKODA vehicles in China, three sub-brand under SKODA, Oc-tavia, Fabia and Su-perb will all be introduced and locally produced.

The first model will be Oc-tavia.

"The agreement (introduction of the three models into China) explains that VW has accepted VW Shanghai for its overall competence and confirms the success of the former cooperation between us." said Shanghai VW.

Sales volume of the three models attained about 492 000 units in 2005, according to statistics.

VW Shanghai also confirmed yesterday that the first model will be Oc-tavia and the estimated offline date is expected to be in the beginning of 2007.
